Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Belton, MO Employer: Rhino Medical Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 3 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Belton, Missouri Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity Day, Swing & Night Shifts • ~81 Patients/Day • 12% Admission Rate • EM/FM/IM Pathways Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Belton, Missouri , part of the greater Kansas City metro. This is a full-scope community Emergency Medicine opportunity with a varied shift structure, a predominantly lower-acuity patient population, and the opportunity to manage higher-acuity presentations requiring advanced Emergency Medicine procedures. Physicians must be comfortable working across days, nights, and weekends . Opportunity Highlights Location: Belton, Missouri Approximately 81 ED patients per day 12% admission rate Day, swing, and night physician shifts No call Broad Emergency Medicine practice ICU available for patients requiring critical-care admission Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine training pathways considered with appropriate Emergency Medicine experience Schedule & Coverage Physician shifts include: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM 1:00 PM–11:00 PM 9:00 PM–7:00 AM 7:00 PM–7:00 AM 7:00 AM–7:00 PM Days, nights, and weekends open Clinical Practice The Emergency Department sees approximately 81 patients daily , with a significant portion of the patient population presenting with lower-acuity ESI Level 4 and 5 conditions. Physicians must also be prepared to independently evaluate and stabilize higher-acuity and critically ill patients when they present. The practice requires comfort with the full scope of standard Emergency Medicine procedures , including: Airway management and intubation Central line placement Acute stabilization Standard Emergency Department procedures Evaluation and disposition across a broad range of emergency presentations Approximately 12% of ED encounters result in hospital admission , and ICU capability is available for patients requiring critical-care admission.
