PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: 60 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Standard Emergency Medicine procedures (suturing, wound care, intubation, conscious sedation)
CT scan interpretation
Ultrasound
MRI and Nuclear Medicine interpretation (as needed)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Board: BC in EM/FM/IM
Licenses: Active LA License required (IMLC accepted)
DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
Certifications: ACLS, ATLS & PALS required for FM/IM candidates
Experience: Residency trained in EM, FM, or IM required
Other Qualifications: Clean background and compliance with credentialing requirements
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a 5-bed ED within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital.
Manage and stabilize acute medical conditions, trauma, and cardiac emergencies.
Interpret diagnostic studies including CT scans, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound.
Coordinate with specialty backup (ICU, Radiology) for patient admissions and transfers.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Ochsner EPIC EMR.
