Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Columbia, SC Employer: Rhino Medical Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Columbia, South Carolina Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity Long-term coverage supporting a community emergency department with a 14-bed capacity and approximately 2 patients per hour. Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking emergency medicine physicians for a locum tenens assignment supporting a community emergency department in Columbia, South Carolina. This opportunity places physicians within a Level III trauma-designated setting, utilizing Epic EMR, with a focus on day shift coverage from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The assignment is ideal for providers seeking long-term stability in a busy, high-volume environment with a dedicated staffing model. Opportunity Highlights Location: Columbia, South Carolina Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Long-term support for a community emergency department Day shift coverage, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Approximately 30-31 shifts per month Epic EMR platform Level III trauma designation Patient volume: about 2 patients per hour Clinical Scope Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency patients Management of trauma and medical presentations within scope of practice Documentation within Epic EMR Coordination with consulting specialists and inpatient teams Requirements MD or DO Active South Carolina medical license (or eligible) Board Certified in Emergency Medicine PALS, BLS, ACLS certifications required Emergency privileges granted and pending license support available Why Emergency Physicians Move on This Approximately 2 patients per hour in a community emergency department Long-term locum assignment with ongoing support Epic EMR with a dedicated staffing model Stable, high-volume environment supporting emergency care in Columbia Rhino Medical is leading the charge.
