This opportunity is built around a four-site cross-credentialing model spanning hospital-based emergency departments and freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs). Instead of relying on the schedule of a single ED, physicians gain access to a broader pool of available shifts across the region , with the ability to work across distinctly different emergency medicine environments. Opportunity Highlights Cross-credentialing across 4 Central Florida emergency departments 2 hospital-based EDs 2 FSEDs Broader regional shift availability through cross-credentialing Primary coverage based in Davenport Additional coverage opportunities in Lake Wales, Winter Haven and Four Corners/Winter Garden Practice environments ranging from approximately 10K to 51K annual ED visits Physician and APP-supported sites Epic EMR across the regional coverage model Full-service hospital ED and lower-volume FSED opportunities Hospital-Based Emergency Departments Davenport, Florida 37-bed ED Approximately 51,000 annual visits 32–36 physician coverage hours daily 24 hours of APP coverage daily Lake Wales, Florida 14-bed ED Approximately 26,000 annual visits 24 hours of physician coverage daily 12 hours of APP coverage daily Physicians respond to rapid responses and codes Lake Wales is a 24/7 hospital emergency department , not a freestanding site. AdventHealth identifies the broader hospital as providing inpatient, emergency, outpatient and surgical services, giving this portion of the regional assignment a traditional hospital-based practice environment. Freestanding Emergency Departments Winter Haven, Florida 24-bed FSED Approximately 20,000 annual visits 24 hours of physician coverage daily 8–10 hours of APP coverage daily Full radiology, CT, ultrasound and laboratory services Four Corners / Winter Garden, Florida 10-bed FSED Approximately 10,000 annual visits 24 hours of physician coverage daily 12-hour physician shifts Full radiology, CT, ultrasound and laboratory services Why the Regional Model Matters Cross-credentialing turns this into more than a single-site locums assignment. Physicians can access shifts across four EDs within the same regional model , creating a larger scheduling pool while allowing them to work across both hospital-based emergency medicine and FSED practice settings . The range is meaningful: from a ~51K-volume, 37-bed hospital ED with 24-hour APP coverage to lower-volume FSED environments with 24-hour physician coverage.
