Quick Facts Location: Eureka, CA Start Date: 09/26/2026 End Date: Ongoing (October shifts) Shift: Inpatient hospital coverage; various nights, afternoons, and mixed schedules Hours/Week: Varies, with guaranteed 8 hours/day, 12 hours for OT Employment Type: Locum / Temporary Licensing: Active CA license, DEA required, BC or BE within 3-5 years of residency Experience: ABEM or ABEOM certified; previous ER experience Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (note: specific pay details will be confirmed upon application) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide emergency medical care to an average of approximately 110 patients in a busy hospital setting Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a variety of acute cases Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Complete documentation and adhere to hospital guidelines Cover scheduled shifts including nights and weekends as assigned Maintain certification and licensure requirements throughout the assignment What You Need Required: Active California medical license DEA registration Board certification (ABEM or ABEOM); within 3-5 years of residency CV uploaded for credentialing purposes Preferred: Previous emergency medicine or hospital ER experience Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments About the Assignment This assignment at a leading facility in Eureka, CA, involves providing exceptional emergency care in a hospital inpatient setting.
