This assignment provides inpatient emergency medicine care within a hospital environment, focusing on high-volume patient management across scheduled overnight and day shifts. This opportunity offers a balanced clinical practice with guaranteed shift hours, incentive pay for night shifts, and stable scheduling to support provider consistency in a hospital-focused setting. Opportunity Details Location: Eureka, California Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Setting: Hospital-based emergency department Coverage: October 9-26 with scheduled overnight and day shifts Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per shift, with 12 hours worked for OT eligibility Schedule Details 10/9, 11p-8a 10/10, 11p-8a 10/11, 11p-8a 10/12, 3p-12a 10/22, 9p-6a 10/23, 9p-6a 10/24, 9p-6a 10/25, 9p-6a 10/26, 9p-6a Clinical Scope Emergency medicine duties in an inpatient hospital environment Inpatient hospital coverage only Typical patient volume approximately 110 patients per 24 hours No explicit procedures confirmed No call, weekend, or holiday shifts specified Practice Environment This hospital-based emergency department serves as a key inpatient care site with established workflows suited to high patient volume. Providers work within a modern emergency setting without on-call duties, supported by inpatient workflows and hospital resources.
