Practice in a 24/7 freestanding Emergency Department offering a particularly attractive community EM profile: approximately 11,000 annual visits, 1.3 patients per hour, 24 hours of daily physician coverage , private treatment rooms, dedicated trauma capability, onsite diagnostics, and connectivity to a full-service hospital network when patients require escalation or admission. Florida AHCA identifies the location as a hospital-based off-campus ED, while public facility information confirms 24-hour emergency care, 365 days per year for adults and children. The combination of ~11K annual volume and approximately 1.3 patients per hour creates a particularly compelling practice profile for physicians interested in a lower-volume FSED environment. The affiliated main hospital is currently a 221-bed acute-care hospital and Level II Trauma Center , providing substantial hospital-based resources beyond the FSED. Physician Requirements Candidates must meet one of the following pathways: ABEM/AOBEM Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician , or Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician meeting the required Emergency Medicine experience criteria For physicians without an Emergency Medicine residency: At least 6,000 hours of Emergency Department experience Full-time Emergency Department work during the three years immediately preceding application Additionally: ACLS required PALS required ATLS recommended , but not an absolute requirement for the freestanding ED Why This Opportunity Stands Out Lower-Volume Emergency Medicine: Approximately 11K annual visits and 1.3 patients/hour create a distinctly different clinical proposition from a high-volume hospital ED. 24-Hour Physician Coverage: The site maintains 24 hours of physician coverage daily within its freestanding model.
