Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Fort Pierce, FL Employer: Rhino Medical Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 3 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Fort Pierce, Florida Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity 40,000 Annual ED Visits | Level II Trauma Center | Epic Dragon Meditech Rhino Medical is seeking board-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity supporting a Level II Trauma Center along Florida’s Treasure Coast. The assignment involves providing emergency care at a busy hospital with dedicated adult and pediatric ED services, including advanced imaging and procedural resources. This position offers a balanced clinical environment with comprehensive support, modern EMR technology, and access to specialty trauma and stroke facilities. Providers will deliver patient care primarily at the main hospital, with some coverage at affiliated facilities as needed, emphasizing adult and pediatric emergency management without inpatient or procedural responsibilities. Opportunity Highlights Location: Fort Pierce, Florida Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Ongoing Coverage Opportunity Coverage includes approximately 70 hours weekly, days only Primary site in Fort Pierce with coverage at affiliated facility in Vero Beach as needed Level II Trauma Center with 42-bed ED including fast track and monitored beds Three trauma bays including pediatric trauma bay EMR systems: Meditech, Pdoc, Dragon dictation Comprehensive stroke, bi-plane, interventional cardiac cath, and therapeutic hypothermia facilities Dedicated ED glide scopes and US machines In-house hospitalist and intensivist teams available 24/7 Practice Environment The ED serves as a major referral center along Florida’s Treasure Coast, offering providers exposure to a wide range of trauma, stroke, and emergency cases. The department maintains continuous physician and APP coverage, supported by advanced documentation and imaging technologies within a modern, efficient environment. Coverage & Schedule Approximately 70 hours of physician coverage weekly, primarily days 60 hours of APP coverage supporting emergency care Shifts and exact timing are not specified; no scheduled weekends or holidays indicated Coverage includes primary hospital in Fort Pierce with additional support at Vero Beach as needed Clinical Responsibilities Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of adult and pediatric emergency patients Management of diverse trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases within designated emergency scope No inpatient, floor code, or consult duties required Utilization of ED ultrasound, glide scopes, and other procedural equipment Requirements Active Florida medical license Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM only) MD degree Apply today with your updated CV to secure upcoming emergency medicine coverage opportunities in Fort Pierce, Florida.
