Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Houlton, ME Employer: Wellhart, LLC Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 11/28/2026 About the Position We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Maine. This assignment features 24-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 AM. The incoming physician will manage a diverse array of cases in a community access hospital, addressing conditions such as RSV, stomach pain, chest pain, lacerations, fractures, cold, flu, substance abuse, and mental health presentations, with responsibilities including patient stabilization and facilitating transfers for more complex care. Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a community access hospital setting. Evaluate and treat patients presenting with RSV, stomach pain, chest pain, and various injuries including lacerations and fractures. Manage common illnesses such as cold and flu. Address cases involving substance abuse and mental health emergencies. Stabilize patients and facilitate transfers for higher levels of care as needed.
