Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Kaplan, LA Employer: VISTA Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Are you an Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Louisana might be the perfect fit for you! Opportunity Highlights Schedule: 24-hour physician coverage Job Setting: Level 4 Emergency Department; 20 hospital beds and 6 ED beds; Annual ED Volume: 6,800 Types of Cases: Moderate Sedation & Deep Sedation; Services include Physical Therapy, Rehab Unit, and Psychiatric Unit Credentialing: Estimated hospital privileging timeframe: 30-60 days; EMR: EPIC Minimum Requirements Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine preferred Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if not EM trained; Procedural Sedation - Version 2 course through SCP University required if not BC in EM; Flu vaccination (within current flu season); TB test (past 12 months) or Chest X-Ray with positive TB; Documentation of case logs for past 2 years; Proof of completed CMEs for the last two years; Malpractice Coverage: $100K/$300K plus enrollment in LPCF (minimum 90-day enrollment for locums) Licensure: Active unrestricted Louisiana Medical License; Louisiana State Controlled Substance license; DEA with Louisiana address covering schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5; Supervising Physician License with Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners About VISTA Staffing A ClearlyRated Best of Staffing Client and Talent 10-Year Diamond Award winner, VISTA has 30 years of experience optimizing continuity of care for hospitals, medical practices and government agencies across the US.
