Rhino Medical is leading the charge actively seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Mason City, Iowa .
This is a well-established regional referral emergency department offering consistent volume, strong APP support, and flexible scheduling across a variety of shift types.

Opportunity Snapshot Location: Mason City, Iowa
Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens
Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
Schedule: 7–10 shifts per month
EMR: Cerner
Facility Overview
Regional medical center serving northern Iowa35,000 annual ED visits
Level III Trauma Center
Full-service hospital with specialty backup
Established emergency medicine program
This facility functions as a regional hub , providing comprehensive emergency care with access to specialty services when needed.
Shift Structure
Physicians must be flexible across multiple shifts:7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
5:00 PM – 2:00 AM
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Swing and night shift availability required.
Clinical Environment
Physicians will work alongside a collaborative care team including:APP coverage: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Support staff and nursing team
Efficient patient flow with moderate acuity
This ED offers a balanced mix of cases with manageable admissions and strong operational support.
Candidate Requirements Board Certified Emergency Medicine
Active Iowa license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required
BLS, ACLS, PALS required
ATLS preferred
Ability to work nights and swing shifts
