Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Okeechobee, FL Employer: Wellhart, LLC Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 11/2/2026 About the Position We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Doctor for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Florida, starting Jan 1, 2026. This role offers variable shift times with 40 hours of physician coverage per week. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Emergency Medicine and provide high-quality care in an emergency setting. Job Details Location: Florida Start Date: Jan 1, 2026 LOA: 36 days Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Schedule: 40 hours of physician coverage per week; shift times vary Responsibilities and Duties Deliver emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses or injuries Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of emergent cases Perform procedures and interventions appropriate to emergency medicine Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patients Maintain accurate and timely medical records Adhere to established protocols and safety standards Additional Information Must have active Florida medical license Emergency Medicine board certification required Must be EM boarded Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
