This high-quality Emergency Medicine assignment involves providing emergency and acute care within a well-established hospital system, with a focus on serving adult patients, supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and utilizing Medhost EMR. Opportunity Highlights Emergency Medicine locum tenens position, ongoing coverage Approximately 41,000 annual ED visits 36-hour physician shifts with 24-hour NP/PA coverage 36-hour scribe coverage included Credentialed at multiple Willis-Knighton facilities ABEM certification required or EM board eligible with ACLS, ATLS, PALS Active Louisiana medical license, DEA license with LA address, and supervising physician license required Schedule Details Coverage model: 36-hour shifts for physicians, 24-hour NP/PA coverage, 36-hour scribe coverage Specific shift times and days not provided in source Clinical Scope Emergency and acute care for adult patients Supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants in the ED Documentation in Medhost EMR Evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition of emergency cases Collaboration with hospital support staff and consultants Case logs for past 2 years and CME/CEU proof required Practice Environment This opportunity is based within a prominent hospital system serving the Shreveport community.
