Quick Facts: Location: Tomahawk, WI (401 West Mohawk Drive, Rhinelander area) Start Date: 08/08/2026 Shift: Mostly single coverage, some overlaps, flexible with shifts Hours/Week: Over 20 shifts/month, shift details flexible Duration: Ongoing coverage needed Employment Type: Locum/Contract Licensure/Certs: Wisconsin Medical License, ACLS, BLS, ATLS, PALS Experience: Preferred but flexible for qualified candidates Pay & Benefits: Hourly Rate: $150/hour (orientation rate) Pay package discussed upon application Benefits: Weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), robust referral bonus program, paid sick time, licensure, certification, travel and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do: Provide emergency medical care at regional hospitals in Wisconsin’s Northwoods area Support hospital admissions with approximately 20% admission rate Offer coverage in a rural, outdoor-oriented community ideal for those who love lakes, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and outdoor recreation Collaborate with APCs in some shifts for double coverage Manage diverse emergency cases in a critical access and regional hospital setting Participate in on-call and shift coverage as needed What You Need: Active medical license in Wisconsin Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine Valid ACLS, PALS, ATLS certifications 1 years of emergency medicine experience preferred but not required Local, Midwest-based providers strongly preferred to reduce travel complications About the Assignment: This is a flexible, ongoing locum opportunity at a regional hospital located in Rhinelander, WI.
