Job description
Doctor of Medicine | Family Practice Location: Guthrie Center, IA Employer: Curative Pay: $125 to $130 per hour Start Date: ASAP About the Position Locums Family Medicine or Internal Medicine coverage (MD. NP or PA) in Iowa with a predictable weekday structure, hospital rounding first thing, then clinic, plus shared call. Volumes are manageable with low inpatient census and phone call coverage overnight. Highlights Mix of outpatient clinic and daily inpatient rounding, all within the same weekday workflow Clinic volume averages 10 to 15 patients per day, inpatient rounding typically 0 to 4 patients Call is shared with two other Family Physicians, at least every third week Fast credentialing, 60 to 90 days Practice Setting Mixed inpatient and outpatient practice, daily hospital rounding plus clinic visits Patient mix includes all age groups, clinic is approximately 80 percent adult and 20 percent pediatrics, hospital is 100 percent adult Ideally birth to death, can consider age 12 and up for the right candidate Full support staff Schedule Monday through Friday schedule, hospital rounding in the morning then clinic visits through the afternoon Weeknight call coverage is for phone calls, covering nursing home and hospital patients, plus clinic patients Call week is at least every third week and shared with two other Family Physicians When on call, you will round once on Saturday and once on Sunday Cases and Procedures Typical primary care in clinic Daily inpatient rounding Clinic procedures typical for outpatient practice, including laceration repair and lesion removal Requirements Must be an MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Iowa license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, open to IMLC Physicians ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA required If this weekday rounding plus clinic flow with shared call fits what you are looking for, reach out and we can compare your availability with the call rotation and remaining coverage needs.614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
