The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and is supported by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Credentialing for this position is estimated at two weeks. About the Facility Location Capron offers visitors a selection of experiences, including farm visits at Panda Homestead and scenic boat tours through James River Batteau Company. Walking tours are available for those seeking to explore the area on foot, and the Gurganus Peanut Outlet provides a specialty retail experience. The region also provides access to outdoor destinations such as Hungry Mother State Park, offering additional recreational options for those on assignment. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential to work four 10-hour shifts, managing approximately 18-20 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation. No call coverage is required for this position. Required credentials include a Virginia medical license, DEA registration, board certification, and prescriptive authority.
