Job Details Position Type: Locum tenens physician opportunity Specialty: Interventional Cardiology Location: Sunnyside, New York 10301 Start Date: October 19, 2026 Duration: 10 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,530 - $7,000 Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Setting: Inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care Employment Type: Local Licensure: New York State medical licensure required Job Requirements MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred Eligible for New York State medical licensure DEA registration required ABIM certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology preferred Experience with coronary interventions and structural heart procedures preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and procedural skills Responsibilities Perform cardiac catheterizations and coronary angiography Complete percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including stent placement Diagnose and treat acute coronary syndromes and STEMI cases Interpret echocardiograms, stress tests, EKGs, and cardiac imaging Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations Participate in STEMI call coverage and emergency cardiac intervention services Collaborate with cardiac surgery, emergency medicine, critical care, and hospitalist teams Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and support quality metrics Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and medical staff initiatives Apply now to join a rewarding locum tenens cardiology job in Sunnyside, NY, and make an immediate impact in cardiovascular care.
