Small Bowel biopsy
Lower GI endoscopy (Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid), Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp))
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
Liver biopsy
Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Board: BC required (Certified)
Licenses: Licensed in TX
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, ABLS
Fellowship: Required
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform scheduled colonoscopies on a Mon-Fri schedule.
Conduct inpatient consultations from the prior night and provide follow-up procedures in the GI lab as needed.
Provide GI coverage during periods of provider vacation, CME, or scheduling conflicts.
Collaborate with midlevel providers (NPs and PAs) for pre- and post-procedure patient workups.
Manage complex GI patients in both clinic and GI lab settings, including endoscopic procedures.
