Job Details Location: Austin, TX 78705 Position: Locum tenens Anesthesiologist Specialty Focus: Cardiac anesthesia Weekly Estimated Pay: $11,290 - $11,900 Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts Schedule: Day shift with opportunities for additional call coverage as needed Case Mix: General, cardiac, neuro, ortho, and OB cases Setting: High-volume surgical environment with broad clinical exposure Job Requirements M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school Current active physician license Completion of an approved residency in anesthesiology Board certification or fellowship training required Cardiac anesthesia experience required Neuraxial and regional anesthesia skills required At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience required Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care Responsibilities Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the anesthesia department Provide medical management for patients undergoing surgery and other procedures Complete pre-anesthesia assessments and verify patient consent Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and expectations with patients Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitor patients' physiological status throughout procedures Provide clinical intervention as needed to support safe, effective care Contribute to efficient case flow while maintaining high standards of patient safety Apply now to explore this locum tenens physician job in Austin, Texas and join a healthcare team committed to excellent patient care.
