Doctor of Medicine | Hematology and Oncology Location: Eureka, CA Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Hematology & Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Eureka, CA 95501 Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Call Coverage Period: Oct 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8a-5p 1 hr lunch On-Call Shift Schedule: Mon–Fri; 5pm-8am; Sat-Sun, 24-hour call (phone only) 1 out of every 3 weeks Call Ratio: 1:3 Call Response Time: 20-30 mins Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Population: Adult Average Daily Volume: 12-15 New Consults: 2 per day; 1 hour appointments % of Practice: 30% Hematology, 70% Oncology FACILITY INFORMATION Exam Rooms: 3 EMR System: Epic Office Equipment: Cold Caps Lab & Xray onsite Physicians in Practice: 3 Support Staff: MAs: 4, APPs: 3, Office Staff: 5-6 3 Oncology Clinic RNs, 6-7 Chemo infusion RNs Specialty Backup: Radiation Oncology PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (or BE within 3-5 years of residency) Licenses: Licensed in California DEA: Required Certifications: BLS Experience: Minimum 2 years Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient and inpatient hematology/oncology care. Manage chemotherapy and infusion treatments. Participate in weeknight and weekend beeper call (phone only). Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in a COC-accredited program.
