Doctor of Medicine | Hospitalist Location: Flagstaff, AZ Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Hospitalist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Flagstaff, AZ Facility: Locums - Flagstaff Medical Center Health System: Northern Arizona Healthcare - Locums Unit: Hospitalist, 29630 Shift: Days Shift Schedule: Admit 6a–6p, Early Swing 10a–10p, Swing 4p–4a, Nights 6p–6a Start Date: Oct 15, 2026 End Date: Nov 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Open Positions: 2 Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only COVERAGE DATES Flagstaff 10/26 11/13 6a-6p shifts Cottonwood 10/19 10/23 11/24-11/29 Admit Admit= 8am-8pm Rounding= 6:30am-6:30pm PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages Average Daily Volume: 20–30 patients/day (as a collective service) FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds: 270 beds EMR System: Cerner PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 2-3 weeks REQUIRED PROCEDURES Hospital admissions Cross coverage JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BE or BC in Internal or Family Medicine Licenses: AZ license required (or IMLC LOQ in hand) DEA: Required Certifications: ACLS Experience: 2 years minimum experience required SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Name Clears: Not required. One-off exceptions may be made if the provider has been submitted previously. Presentations: Submit CV, questionnaire, vaccination status, email, and phone number. Phone Interviews: Most departments will call candidates prior to offers. Licensing: If the provider lacks an active AZ license, proof of application is required before release of credentialing materials. Credentialing: Completed applications are due within 7 days of receipt. Case logs and vaccination records are required. Cerner Training: Mandatory, remote, approx. 4 hours, the week prior to start. Case Logs: Required. Duties & Responsibilities Perform hospital admissions during assigned shift hours. Provide cross-coverage for hospitalized patients (excluding ICU). Collaborate with the intensivist on duty for ICU admissions. Participate in a collective service managing 20-30 patients per day.
