Doctor of Medicine | Hospitalist Location: Irvine, KY Employer: WhiteCoat Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Hospitalist (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician for short-term hospitalist coverage. The provider will manage inpatient medical patients and provide after-hours call coverage, including calls from a nursing home. Compensation: Open rates Schedule Coverage Dates: August 6, 2026 (8:00 AM) - August 10, 2026 (8:00 AM) Onsite hospital coverage: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Beeper/phone call coverage when offsite Practice Setting Acute Care Hospital Inpatient Hospitalist Nursing Home Call Coverage Level IV Trauma Center Responsibilities Provide inpatient hospital medicine coverage Manage adult medical patients Respond to nursing home calls Provide after-hours beeper/phone call coverage Manage patients in a one-bed ICU as needed Practice Details Approximately 14 patients per day Adult patient population (approximately 50% geriatric) Call ratio: 1:3-1:6 Minimal callback volume EMR: Epic Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active Kentucky license ACLS BLS DEA Clean malpractice, background, and license history (required for temporary privileges) Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation Additional Information Emergency/temporary privileges are available for qualified providers.
