Doctor of Medicine | Neurology - General/Other Location: Atlantic City, NJ Employer: Alumni Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Specialty Neurology State NJ Location 1925 Pacific Avenue Atlantic City, NJ 08401, Atlantic City, NJ Requirements AtlantiCare in New Jersey is seeking consistent weekday outpatient coverage across 3 different facilities: Egg Harbor Township Hammonton and Atlantic City. Profession/Specialty: General Neurology Outpatient Coverage Location: AtlantiCare outpatient neurology practices in Egg Harbor Township Hammonton and Atlantic City New Jersey Dates of Coverage: ASAP and ongoing until a permanent neurologist is hired. The need is for consistent weekday outpatient coverage across Egg Harbor Township Hammonton and Atlantic City. The specific schedule and rotation among locations can be coordinated based on operational needs and the provider’s availability. Schedule: Monday through Friday approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. This is outpatient general neurology coverage only with no inpatient coverage night call weekend call or holiday coverage anticipated. Full-time availability is preferred. Providers must be able to commit to a consistent minimum of three days per week to be considered. The schedule may rotate among Egg Harbor Township Hammonton and Atlantic City with the provider assigned to one location per day. The specific schedule and site rotation will be coordinated in advance based on patient access needs and provider availability. Call Coverage: NoCall Type: No Call coverage neededCall Ratio: N/AAverage Amount of Call Back Hours: N/A of Providers Needed: Willing to look at multiple providers Reason for Coverage: To provide temporary outpatient general neurology coverage maintain timely patient access and continuity of care and support coverage across multiple practice locations while recruitment for a permanent neurologist is underway. Practice Settings: ClinicLeadership Position/Required to Teach: No Patient Population: Adult: 60 Geriatric: 40 Outpatient vs Inpatient: 100 OutpatientAverage of Patients Per Day: Approximately 14–18 outpatient clinic patients per day depending on the mix of new and established patients. The anticipated daily mix is approximately 3–5 new patients and 10–13 follow-up patients. Additional time should be allowed for complex new-patient evaluations.Trauma Level Designation: Not applicable. This position is limited to outpatient neurology practices and does not include trauma or emergency coverage.Required Duties Procedures Skills etc: Evaluate and manage new and established adult and geriatric general-neurology patients.Manage common neurological conditions including headache and migraine seizure disorders neuropathy movement disorders multiple sclerosis cognitive disorders and post-stroke follow-up.Review diagnostic imaging laboratory results and outside medical records.Order appropriate diagnostic testing and manage medications.Coordinate care with primary care providers APPs specialists and other members of the neuroscience team.Complete documentation patient messages test-result review and follow-up responsibilities promptly.Provide independent outpatient coverage and work comfortably across multiple practice locations. Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.Active unrestricted New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain one.Active DEA and New Jersey CDS before the start date.BLS certification.Ability to provide consistent adult outpatient general-neurology coverage.Willingness to rotate among Egg Harbor Township Hammonton and Atlantic City with one assigned location per : Cerner/Oracle Fusion Additional Notes: This opportunity supports an established and growing neuroscience program serving communities throughout southern New Jersey. The provider will work with an interdisciplinary team and an established referral network. The practice locations include Egg Harbor Township Hammonton and Atlantic City with schedules and site assignments coordinated in advance. Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90–120 days after receipt of a fully completed application. The timeframe is dependent upon receipt of all required documentation primary-source verifications references background checks an active New Jersey medical license DEA registration New Jersey CDS registration and completion of Medical Staff approval and payer-enrollment requirements. Incomplete files may delay the process. Are Temps Available? No TRAVEL AND Travel Reimbursements: Airfare Lodging Rental Car Mileage at IRS rate Additional Travel Preferences/Caps: Airfare: Economy-class airfare only up to 750 round trip for each approved work block. Lodging: Standard hotel or extended-stay accommodations not to exceed 200 per night before taxes. Extended-stay or monthly accommodations should be used when more cost-effective. Rental car: Compact or midsize vehicle not to exceed 75 per day before taxes and fees. Mileage: Reimbursed at the current IRS business-mileage rate when the provider uses a personal vehicle. Mileage and rental-car reimbursement cannot be claimed for the same travel period. Travel time is not billable. Receipts are required for all reimbursable expenses. Any exceptions or costs exceeding these caps require prior written approval. Schedule Days, Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. This is outpatient general neurology coverage only, with no inpatient coverage, night call, weekend call, or holiday coverage anticipated.
