Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Cape Girardeau, MO Employer: Rhino Medical Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Cape Girardeau, Missouri OB/GYN Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity ~600 Annual Deliveries • 24-Hour Call • 1:3 Call Ratio • Level III NICU Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Cape Girardeau, Missouri . This assignment combines clinic and call coverage within an established hospital-based maternity program with approximately 600 annual deliveries , robust L&D resources, and scheduled midwife support. The need encompasses approximately 20 days of coverage per month , including 24-hour call and OB/GYN emergency consultations. Opportunity Highlights OB/GYN Physician locum tenens Cape Girardeau, Missouri Approximately 20 days/month of clinic and call coverage Approximately 600 deliveries annually 24-hour call 1:3 call ratio Primarily solo physician call 3 midwives providing backup support as scheduled Extended assignments may allow midwife primary call with locum physician backup OB/GYN emergency consult coverage Epic EMR Labor & Delivery Environment Practice within an established maternity program featuring 18 private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms , two dedicated C-section operating rooms , a well-baby nursery, and VBAC capability. The clinical support model includes: 24/7 anesthesia/CRNA support 24/7 respiratory therapy Surgical first assist Minimum 2 L&D RNs , with staffing increased as needed 2 NICU nurses 1 OB tech Midwife backup support as scheduled Level III NICU located adjacent to Labor & Delivery Clinical Scope The locum physician will support the hospital's obstetric and gynecologic service through scheduled clinic coverage, 24-hour OB call , deliveries, and OB/GYN emergency consultations. With no dedicated laborist incorporated into the client-described coverage model, the physician should be comfortable providing independent OB/GYN coverage while working alongside the established L&D, anesthesia, neonatal, surgical, and midwifery teams.
