Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Corpus Christi, TX Employer: Rhino Medical Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 6 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Corpus Christi, Texas Obstetrics and Gynecology Locum Tenens Opportunity Open shifts available for experienced OB hospitalists supporting a high-volume maternity service in a hospital-based setting. Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking OB hospitalists for ongoing locum tenens coverage at a Level IV maternal care hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves managing obstetric emergencies, unassigned patient deliveries, and providing consultative support within a multidisciplinary team. Opportunity Highlights Location: Corpus Christi, Texas Employment Type: Locum Tenens Setting: Hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic services Coverage: Several 24-hour shifts per month, including September 14 and 18, with availability for additional shifts Schedule: 8:00am – 8:00am Clinical Scope Manage all unassigned obstetric and gynecology patients across units Deliver patients when community obstetricians are unavailable Respond to obstetric emergencies and acute presentations, including triage evaluation Provide surgical assist services, including cesarean sections and TOLAC management Support high-risk obstetric care, including maternal fetal medicine cases Conduct fetal monitoring assessments and maintain proficiency in fetal heart rate interpretation Coordinate transport of critically ill obstetric patients Assist with obstetric triage and emergency response activities Participate in departmental quality improvement and compliance initiatives Collaborate with nursing and multidisciplinary teams for operational efficiency Requirements Active MD license in Texas DEA registration Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Minimum 5 years of OB experience Fetal monitoring certification preferred Availability for multiple shifts per month Clean file for temporary privileges Why OB Hospitalists Move on This High-volume obstetric practice with nearly 4,000 births annually Level IV maternal care and Level III NICU support 24-hour shifts with flexible scheduling options Modern hospital setting with Meditech EMR Active involvement in quality and safety initiatives Why Providers Choose Rhino Medical Weekly direct deposit AAA-rated malpractice coverage Concierge recruiter communication Transparent process from presentation through placement Long-term relationship focus Apply today with your updated CV to secure upcoming coverage dates.
