The role involves providing occasional call and clinic coverage with a focus on limited prenatal visits and weekday call coverage. This opportunity places physicians in an acute care setting supported by established obstetrics resources, offering a balanced clinical workload within a modern hospital environment. Providers will be responsible for managing prenatal patients and covering shifts during assigned periods, utilizing workflow familiar to practitioners experienced in obstetrics within hospital-based care. Opportunity Highlights Location: Iron Mountain, Michigan Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Locum Tenens Assignments of 7 to 10 days duration Coverage periods on 08/28–09/03, 09/14–09/20, 12/07–12/13, 12/21–12/27 Shift times: 6:00 PM to 6:00 PM Provides occasional call and clinic coverage Limited prenatal patient visits Approximately 319 deliveries projected in 2025 Acute care hospital environment Supportive obstetrics department infrastructure Practice Environment This hospital facility in Iron Mountain serves as a key provider for obstetric and gynecologic care in northern Michigan, with projected delivery volume supporting a diverse range of maternal cases. The department maintains dedicated resources for prenatal care and delivery support within a hospital-based inpatient setting. Providers work alongside experienced nursing and obstetrics teams, practicing within a modern infrastructure supported by relevant clinical support and technology.
