12-hour in-house call shifts -- days, evenings, and overnight coverage
Avg 7 patients per shift -- both low risk and high risk pregnancies
Hospital-based obstetrics setting
Routine and complicated deliveries -- C-sections, breech, VBACs, abruptions
High-risk OB skills required -- FHR interpretation, forceps, laceration repair
Approx 1,295 deliveries per year at this facility
14 - 21 shifts per month -- 7 - 10 shifts needed monthly
