The facility is supported by a clinical team that includes a medical assistant and a nurse practitioner, with the NP managing hospital-based patient encounters. Established clinical protocols are in place to support coordinated oncologic care delivery throughout the covered assignment period. About the Facility Location The area surrounding this assignment offers clinicians access to a range of historical, cultural, and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. Points of interest include a restored mid-19th century lighthouse, an aircraft museum, and a Victorian historic district, alongside water-based activities such as whale and dolphin watching cruises, kayaking, and fishing. Clinicians may also explore nature trails for birding, as well as arts and culinary experiences including theater, art galleries, wineries, and breweries during time away from clinical duties. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no call or weekend obligations required. The primary purpose of the on-site physician presence is to facilitate the administration of chemotherapy, with outpatient follow-up visits comprising the clinical workload; no new consults are expected. The clinical scope encompasses the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic follow-up cases for an adult patient population, with 12-14 patient encounters anticipated per day.
