Doctor of Medicine | Oncology - General/Other Location: Martinsville, VA Employer: Alumni Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Specialty State VA Location 320 Hospital Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112 Requirements 4 Shifts per week. 8 - 10 hours per day pending patient volumes. Overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Patient volume 12 - 15patients per day. Call is beeper only established patients. Call is very light 2 - 5 per week. (Phone only) Oncology center has 3 additional established permanent providers - currently searching for a full time Medical Oncologist. Established Hematology/Oncology practice with a start date of 9/8/2026 - Ongoing, backfilling coverage while the site conducts a long-term permanent search. Light call and an apartment already available make this an easier placement for the right candidate. DETAILS: Facility & Location Facility Name: Sovah Health – Martinsville City, state: Martinsville, VA Nearby airport(s): GSO (Greensboro) / RDU (Raleigh-Durham), driving in preferred Specialty and Skillset AR : A-MHOMH- Number of providers needed: 1 Specialty: Internal Medicine – Hematology and Oncology Skills required: Board certified or board eligible, fellowship required Schedule Dates: 9/8/2026 -10/30/ /16/2026 - 11/22/2026 Ongoing need Shift types: Outpatient clinical hours plus light call Frequency: 4 shifts per week, 8-10 hours per day depending on patient volume Setting Support Type of facility: Community hospital, outpatient oncology center Accreditation: Stroke certified, non-trauma facility Daily patient volume: 12-15 patients per day EMR used: Aria Support staff on-site: 3 established permanent HemOnc providers already at the practice, plus 6 RNs, 1 PA/NP, and 6 office staff. This is joining an existing team, not solo coverage.
