About the Facility This facility provides both inpatient and ambulatory ophthalmology services, with a focus on retinopathy of prematurity care within the NICU setting. The facility requires locum tenens coverage for approximately 8 weeks per year, primarily to accommodate staff vacations. Both inpatient and ambulatory service lines are supported within this on-site assignment.
About the Facility Location Florida offers access to diverse outdoor and recreational opportunities across the state. Clinicians may enjoy coastal activities along both the Atlantic and Gulf shores, as well as nature-based pursuits in wetlands and nature preserves throughout the region. The state supports year-round outdoor recreation and provides access to a range of cultural and natural attractions suited to a variety of interests.
About the Clinician's Workday The ophthalmologist will provide on-site ambulatory coverage on Tuesdays for 8-hour shifts, with Wednesday ambulatory coverage available on a PRN basis when ROP treatment is indicated. Inpatient responsibilities consist of Wednesday NICU rounding for retinopathy of prematurity from 7 AM to 1 PM, followed by afternoon clinic when ROP treatment or follow-up care is required. Coverage is structured primarily to support staff vacations across approximately 8 weeks per year. Board certification in Ophthalmology is required for this assignment.
