24-Hour Coverage, 8:00 AM-8:00 AM Approximately 7 Shifts Per Month Call Coverage Required During Scheduled Assignments Night Call May End Early Depending on Coverage Needs Schedule and Call Times May Vary Coverage Needed for Scheduled Provider Time Off and Service Gaps Patient Population / Volume Pediatric Patients Approximately 15-20 Patients Per Day Level I Pediatric Trauma Setting Clinical Responsibilities Provide Pediatric Otolaryngology Care Evaluate and Manage Pediatric ENT Patients Perform Pediatric ENT Surgical Procedures Provide Clinical and Surgical Coverage Provide Night and Weekend Call Coverage as Needed Respond to Telephone Consultations and Emergencies Required Procedures / Skills Tonsillectomy Adenoidectomy Myringotomy With Ventilation Tube Insertion Nasal Septum Cauterization Frenulectomy Foreign Body Removal Abscess Drainage Myringoplasty Laryngoscopy Clinical Environment / Support 2 Attending ENT Surgeons 2 Experienced Physician Assistants Provider Will Not Work Solo Epic EMR Telephone Call With 30-Minute Response Requirement Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible - Required At Least 2 Years of Clinical Experience in Pediatric Otolaryngology - Required Illinois Medical License Required at Application IMLC Accepted Must Disclose IMLC Status at Submission ACLS - Required BLS - Required PALS - Required DEA - Required Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) - Required Must Be Comfortable Providing Pediatric ENT Surgical Care Must Be Willing to Participate in Call Coverage During Scheduled Assignments Credentialing Estimated Credentialing Timeframe:
