Doctor of Medicine | Pathology Location: Cooperstown, NY Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD- Profession: Physician Specialty: Pathology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Cooperstown, New York Coverage Period: Oct 19, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm Reason for Coverage: LOA coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 30-40 cases per day Case Mix: Anatomic pathology cases Rounding: Not applicable FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Yes, 3 other pathologists on staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or AP/CP Licenses: Active New York medical license DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform gross examination and description of surgical specimens. Interpret frozen sections intraoperatively. Provide final diagnoses for surgical pathology cases. Sign out 30-40 cases per day.
