Doctor of Medicine | Pediatrics - General/Other Location: Phoenix, AZ Employer: Curative Pay: $190 to $200 per hour Shift Information: 4 days x 10 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pediatrics locums coverage in Arizona, supporting pediatric urgent care and ED campuses with a mix of day, evening, and limited night shifts, plus weekend needs. Coverage is needed long term due to satellite hospital expansion. Highlights Long-term coverage need, April 2027 through June 2028 Multiple pediatric sites, urgent care and ED coverage options No call requirements Mix of 7, 8, and 10 hour shifts across days, evenings, and minimally nights Practice Setting 100 percent pediatric patient population Coverage may be across four urgent care sites and ED campuses, typically keeping physicians within a small geographic cluster of nearby sites Pediatric ED acuity includes management of critically ill neonates with neurologic, surgical, cardiac, and complex multisystem conditions Site volumes include approximately 75k visits per year at Thomas ED, 55k at Avondale ED, 30k at Arrowhead ED, and a newer Mercy Gilbert site projected at 20k in year one Schedule Combination of 7, 8, and 10 hour shifts Shift mix includes days, evenings, and minimally nights Weekend coverage included Also open to locums covering ED shifts Cases and Procedures Repair of wounds and incision and drainage If working ED shifts, core procedures may include lumbar puncture, stabilization of fracture or dislocation, and nasal or aural foreign body removal Requirements Must be an MD or DO Board Certified in Pediatrics, or Board Eligible within 5 years Arizona license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, Open to IMLC Physicians Required certifications include ATLS, BLS, DEA, and PALS If you want a long runway of pediatric UC and ED coverage with no call, reach out and we can compare your availability to the shift mix across the Arizona sites.614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
