Doctor of Medicine | Pediatrics - Hematology/Oncology Location: Cumberland, MD Employer: Wellhart, LLC Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 2/2/2027 About the Position We are seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for a 21-day assignment in Maryland. This role involves weekday inpatient rounding for approximately 8 hours and weekend 24-hour on-call services, including managing oncology inpatient rounds and consults, with responsibility for responding to patient inquiries during call shifts. Responsibilities and Duties Provide weekday inpatient rounding in the hospital for approximately 8 hours Provide weekend 24-hour on-call services with potential for consults Manage rounding on oncology inpatients and handle consults Respond to consult requests within 24 hours Address an average of 5-6 calls per on-call shift, which may include patient inquiries outside of normal business hours Manage an average of 2-3 inpatients, 1 admission, and 2 consults per day See inpatient consults during scheduled blocks, or at the end of the day if the schedule is full Additional Information Board certification in Hematology required EMR: Epic Work in a Trauma center Weekend 24-hour on-call services Advanced Practice Provider (APP) / Mid-level coverage available from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
