Doctor of Medicine | Psychiatry - General/Other Location: San Francisco, CA Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 6 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-MD- Profession: Physician Specialty: Psychiatry Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: San Francisco, CA Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Call Coverage Period: Oct 19, 2026 – Apr 19, 2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon/Tue 8a-5p; Weekends 6 hrs rounding starting 8am On-Call Shift Schedule: Night call Mon/Tue 5p-8a; Weekends 24 hr call after rounding until 8am next day Call Type: In-House Call Ratio: 1:1 Facility is looking for a provider who can cover 2 weekends/month and the following Monday/Tuesday. PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adolescents Patient Volume/Census: 6–12 patients per day Case Mix: Adolescent Psychiatry FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 12 EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Multidisciplinary team PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Psychiatric medication management Admission evaluations and orders Individualized treatment planning Multidisciplinary team leadership JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or BC in General Psychiatry with CAP fellowship DEA: CA DEA with Schedule 2/2n Certifications: BLS (AHA) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide clinical care to adolescent psychiatric patients, including rounding and on-site consultations. Perform admission evaluations and place appropriate orders for new patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team. Manage psychiatric medications and perform psychopharmacological interventions.
