Doctor of Medicine | Pulmonology Location: Slidell, LA Employer: Alumni Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Specialty State LA Location 1001 Gause Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458 Requirements Providers presented must have availability October 23-25th and December 28th-Jan 1st plus 1 weekend every other month. The shifts will be 7am Friday mornings to 7am Monday mornings. We would like presented as 24 hour call with 8 hours of patient contact included. o We have an open ICU model. Most (>95 %) of patients are admitted to hospital medicine, with the remaining small amt admitted by a few proceduralists for elective cases (ex CABG). o 162 beds. Hospital is typically at capacity. o Of that 162, 30 ICU beds and 24 step down beds. o On average, about 18 consults per day, combined pulm and critical care. o ED census – about 170 (between 2 EDs separated by 1.5 miles). Patients needing ICU level care are admitted to one campus, Slidell Memorial Main Campus. Average 28-30% admit rate. There are no APPs. Please see attached pulm/crit delineation of privileges. Trialysis line placement is included in central line placement as part of DOP. Of note, we do have 24/7 vascular surgery, anesthesia, and general surgery if additional back up needed. Pulm/crit is preferred first call for lines and intubations on admitted patients during the day hours. o We have 24/7 CT surg, vascular surg, interventional cardiology, anesthesia coverage. o Hospitalists in house 24/7, both MD and APP o At minimum, double coverage in the ED 24/7, typically 3 or more providers in ED. o High acuity site with plenty of coverage from well established services. Providers will need temp privileges and must have a clean background. COI and PCF are required for the full year, not by dates to keep privileges. Local/ drive in candidates preferred.
