Quick Facts Location: Slidell, Louisiana Start Date: 09/29/2026 Shift: 7 a Friday to 7 a Monday (24-hour call, includes 8 hours of patient contact) Schedule: Every other weekend availability for October 23-25 and December 28-Jan 1 Hours/Week: 40 hours (based on shift pattern) Employment Type: Full-Time Licenses/Certifications: License and credentials required, background check for privileges Experience: Prior pulm/critical care experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 Pay Package: Discussed upon application Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and reimbursement when applicable 24/7 dedicated support team What You’ll Do Manage 24-hour call shifts with patient contact roles, including ICU procedures Collaborate with hospital staff to coordinate patient care for high-acuity cases Conduct line placements, intubations, and critical procedures as first call in pulm/crit care Attend to an average of 18 consults daily, covering both pulm and critical care needs Participate in hospital protocols within an open ICU model Ensure compliance with hospital policies and credentialing requirements Provide expert care for a diverse patient population in a busy hospital setting What You Need Required: Valid medical license with privileges in Louisiana Background clear of disqualifying issues Competency in ICU procedures including central line placement, intubations Experience in pulmonary or critical care settings Preferred: Prior experience in similar high-acuity environments Ability to work flexible schedule with weekend rotations About the Assignment This assignment is at a prominent hospital in Slidell, LA, with a capacity of 162 beds, including 30 ICU beds. The facility operates with a high volume of acute cases, providing an excellent environment for pulm/crit care providers to showcase their skills. There is robust backup support, including vascular, general, and anesthesia services, ensuring comprehensive care delivery. Providers will need to gain temporary privileges, which require a clean background.
