Doctor of Medicine | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Location: Lansing, MI Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: A-MD-70193 Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Type: Locums Tenens Location: Lansing, MI Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Call Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, clinic hours Call Schedule: Nights and Weekends call Call Type: Beeper Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult Average Daily Volume: ~1 case per weekend Rounding: Included Case Mix: Adult Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery (CABG, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement, Thoracotomy, etc.) FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level I EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: ~90-120 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Adult Cardiac Surgery General Thoracic Surgery CABG Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Tube Thoracostomy Pericardial Window Thoracotomy (Lung Biopsy, Lung Resection, Pneumonectomy) Thoracotomy Decortication Mediastinal Surgery JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Licenses: Active Michigan License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice and license history; NPDB self-query required Must be able to work independently Duties & Responsibilities Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage at Sparrow Lansing Main Hospital. Perform adult cardiac and thoracic surgeries including CABG, heart valve repair/replacement, thoracotomy, and mediastinal procedures. Manage night call and round on patients as required.
