Quick Facts Location: Hazard, KY (100 Medical Center Drive) Start Date: 09/24/2026 End Date: Opportunities available through 01/03/2027 Shift: 7 AM start; multiple scheduled blocks Hours/Week: Variable depending on shifts Employment Type: Contract/Locum Licenses/Certifications: Kentucky state license and applicable medical certifications Experience: Prior experience in general surgery preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (Note: confirm, as pay details are minimal) Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time (per applicable laws) Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated team support What You’ll Do Assist in various surgical procedures including bowel resection, trauma, perforations, abscess drainage, and wound care Support emergency general surgery trauma cases Participate in patient assessments pre- and post-operation Collaborate with surgical teams and hospital staff for optimal patient outcomes Manage wound care and postoperative recovery procedures Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with hospital protocols What You Need Valid Kentucky medical license and certifications Prior experience in general surgery (preferred) Strong surgical assist skills and ability to handle emergency cases Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to schedule changes About the Assignment This assignment involves supporting a busy surgical team at a leading facility in Hazard, KY, specializing in emergency and general surgical procedures.
