Rhino Medical is leading the charge in seeking an experienced
General Surgery Physician (MD/DO)
for a locum tenens opportunity in
Woodsville, New Hampshire . This assignment provides vacation coverage for a critical access hospital serving a rural New England community, offering a broad scope of surgical responsibilities and the opportunity to deliver essential care in a community-focused hospital environment.
We are seeking a confident, adaptable General Surgeon comfortable with inpatient rounding, emergency surgical cases, and telephone consultations. The surgical service handles approximately
70–100 cases per month , providing an established clinical environment where your expertise can make a meaningful difference.

Experience with scopes preferred; specific coverage requirements to be confirmed

Coverage dates and call arrangements to be discussed
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide General Surgery coverage during scheduled physician absences
Conduct inpatient rounds and manage surgical patients
Evaluate and manage emergency general surgery cases
Provide telephone consultations for surgical concerns
Perform surgical procedures within approved clinical privileges
Collaborate with hospital providers and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Provider Qualifications
MD or DO with experience in General Surgery
Comfortable independently managing general surgical patients in a critical access hospital environment
Experience with emergency surgical evaluation and operative management
Ability to provide inpatient rounding and telephone consultation coverage
Endoscopic procedural experience strongly preferred
Ability to meet hospital credentialing and privileging requirements
