Doctor of Medicine | Surgery - Trauma Location: Dickinson, ND Employer: WhiteCoat Locums Pay: $2,100 per day Shift Information: Days - 5 days Start Date: ASAP About the Position General Surgery Locum Opportunity - North Dakota A healthcare system in North Dakota is seeking a General Surgeon for ongoing locum coverage. The provider must be available for urgent July coverage and will support a combination of clinic, surgical, inpatient, and call responsibilities. Compensation: Orientation: $135/hr, 24 Hour On Call: $2,100 per 24 hours to include 4 hrs gratis, Holiday 24 Hour On Call: $3,155 per 24 hours to include 4 hrs gratis, Call Back: $270/hr. Coverage Dates July 1 (7:00 AM) - July 5 (7:00 AM) August 26 (7:00 AM) - September 7 (7:00 AM) September 24 (7:00 AM) - October 5 (7:00 AM) October 19 (7:00 AM) - October 28 (7:00 AM) November 9 (7:00 AM) - November 16 (7:00 AM) November 24 (7:00 AM) - December 1 (7:00 AM) December 17 (7:00 AM) - December 29 (7:00 AM) Additional ongoing coverage opportunities available. Schedule Clinic Schedule Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tuesday: Surgery day with clinic after procedures as schedule permits Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Thursday: Surgery day with clinic after procedures as schedule permits Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Call Coverage 24/7 call coverage during assignment dates Response time: 20 minutes Coverage includes phone consults, admissions, and rounding on general surgery patients Practice Setting Clinic, Surgery, Inpatient, and Call Trauma Level IV facility 25-bed hospital Scheduled surgeries Monday-Friday Emergent surgical coverage required 24/7 Clinical Responsibilities General surgery consultations Inpatient admissions and rounding Emergency surgical coverage Endoscopic procedures Management of general surgery patients Required Procedures Abdominal surgery Endoscopy Liver procedures Stomach procedures Gallbladder surgery Appendectomy Colon surgery Laparoscopic procedures Spleen procedures Preferred Experience Pediatric surgery Thyroid procedures Pulmonary procedures Vascular procedures Not Required Amputations Cesarean sections Hysterectomies Respirator care Patient Volume Average daily census: 15 Average general surgery patients during 24-hour call: 0-5 Support Staff CRNA anesthesia coverage No APP supervision required Requirements Required Board Eligible within 3 years of U.S. residency training ATLS Certification PALS Certification DEA Registration Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation Highly Preferred Board Certified in General Surgery Active North Dakota License Clean malpractice and disciplinary history Additional Considerations Temporary privileges available IMLC candidates will be considered Providers currently on monitoring agreements will not be accepted Providers with prior malpractice or legal matters should provide a detailed narrative including dates, disposition, and settlement information (if applicable) Credentialing Temporary privileges available for qualified candidates Completed application should be returned within 7 days Additional Information Provider background screening and 12-panel drug screening required after offer acceptance Ongoing coverage opportunities available beyond listed dates614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
