About the Position Hagerstown, Maryland Physician – Urgent Care Locum Tenens
High-Volume Clinic • Autonomous Practice • Fast Credentialing
Rhino Medical is seeking an experienced Physician to support a high-demand urgent care clinic in Hagerstown, Maryland.
This is a true urgent care role, built for providers who are comfortable working independently, maintaining patient flow, and delivering efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Important
This position requires:
Ability to function as a solo provider during shifts
Comfort seeing 3-4 patients per hour
Strong procedural skills and independent clinical decision-making
Candidates without recent urgent care experience will not be considered.
Opportunity Snapshot
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:
Minimum 6 shifts per month required
Clinic open 7 days per week
Typical hours: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Setting:
Standalone urgent care clinic
Practice Environment
High-volume outpatient urgent care
Physician operates independently during shifts
Full clinical and front-office support staff
Onsite lab and X-ray capabilities
EMR: Practice Velocity (training provided)
This is a high-efficiency clinical model with consistent patient demand and structured workflows.
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat urgent care patients (ages 2+)
Manage acute illnesses and minor injuries
Interpret labs and X-rays independently
Perform procedures including:
Suturing
Incision & drainage (I&D)
Digital blocks
Pelvic exams
Communicate results and follow-up care with patients
Complete and sign all charts before end of shift
What We're Looking For
Active, unrestricted Maryland medical license
Candidates must demonstrate:
Confidence reading X-rays (extremities and chest)
Efficient documentation and patient throughput
Additional Requirements
Must live within 30-45 miles of Hagerstown
Clean malpractice and professional history required
Credentialing & Onboarding
Credentialing timeline: as fast as 3 days
