Doctor of Medicine | Urology Location: Richmond, IN Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Urologist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Richmond, IN • Facility: Reid Health • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Call • Coverage Period: May 8, 2026 – Ongoing (2026 Coverage Blocks) • Clinical Shift Schedule: Inpatient rounding as required during call coverage; no elective cases • On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour weekend call shifts (Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM) • Call Type: Hospital / ER Call • Call Ratio: TBD • Call Response Time: TBD COVERAGE DATES • May 8, 2026 – May 11, 2026 • May 22, 2026 – May 25, 2026 • June 5, 2026 – June 8, 2026 • June 19, 2026 – June 22, 2026 • July 3, 2026 – July 6, 2026 • July 17, 2026 – July 20, 2026 • July 31, 2026 – August 3, 2026 • August 14, 2026 – August 17, 2026 • August 28, 2026 – August 31, 2026 • September 11, 2026 – September 14, 2026 • September 25, 2026 – September 28, 2026 • October 9, 2026 – October 12, 2026 • October 23, 2026 – October 26, 2026 • November 6, 2026 – November 9, 2026 • November 20, 2026 – November 23, 2026 • December 4, 2026 – December 7, 2026 • December 18, 2026 – December 21, 2026 • December 25, 2026 – December 28, 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adult and pediatric urology consults • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Included with inpatient call coverage • Phone Consults: Yes • Case Mix: General urology including kidney, bladder, ureter, and urethral conditions • Additional Expectations: Must be comfortable managing complex catheter placements and difficult catheterizations FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 220 hospital beds • Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard urology surgical and diagnostic equipment including robotic surgical capability • Specialty Backup Available: Full hospital specialty support available • Support Staff Available: Hospital clinical and surgical staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: No • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 – 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General adult urology procedures • Pediatric urology consults • Ureteroscopy • Nephrectomy • Adrenalectomy • Robotic urologic surgeries • Percutaneous nephrolithotomy • Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) • Laparoscopic urologic surgeries • Renal and bladder ultrasound and biopsy • Incontinence procedures PREFERRED / NON-MANDATORY PROCEDURES • Prostatectomy • Radical prostatectomy • Radical cystectomy with ileal loop conduit • Penile prosthesis • Renal transplant surgery JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Indiana medical license or IMLC eligibility • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology (Certification required within 5 years of residency) • DEA: Active DEA Certification required • Certifications: • BLS (AHA issued) required for all specialties • ACLS (AHA issued) required if requesting conscious sedation privileges • Experience: Minimum 2 years of urology experience • Vaccination Requirements: • Flu vaccination required (or approved medical/religious exemption) • COVID vaccination required (or approved medical/religious exemption) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide inpatient urology care and hospital call coverage • Perform inpatient rounding during call coverage • Manage general urology cases including complex catheter placements • Perform diagnostic and surgical urologic procedures as required • Coordinate care with hospital staff and specialists • Enter orders and maintain accurate medical documentation within the Epic EMR system614ebcce-2988-4a21-9a10-1fc0c5beffbb
