Job Opportunity: Locum Cardiothoracic Physician in Paducah, KY
Join a dedicated team at a hospital-based practice in Paducah, Kentucky, where you will provide specialized cardiac surgical care. This opportunity focuses on adult cardiac surgery, with a strong emphasis on providing exceptional patient care. The hospital serves a diverse patient demographic and is equipped with advanced facilities, including dedicated operating rooms and a collaborative staff to support your practice.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Perform Adult Cardiac Surgery, including: CABG (Arterial Revascularization using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery; Redo cases)
Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery
Conduct General Thoracic Surgery procedures such as: Tube Thoracostomy
Tracheostomy
Bronchoscopy
VATS decortication/lung biopsy
Pericardial Window
Manage ICU for high-risk cases including: Impella Insertion/Removal/Bailout
Medical management of critically ill patients
Provide Structural Heart Procedure Support in Hybrid OR / Cath Lab
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery - Required
BLS Certified - Required
Kentucky License - Preferred (willing to accept candidates needing to obtain a license)
Clean Background - Required
Experience with Impella support (Insertion/Removal/Bailout) - Required
Experience with Structural Heart Support in Hybrid OR / Cath Lab - Required
Must be available for one of the specified dates - Required
Previous experience at this facility (if applicable) must be documented - Required
License and Certification Requirements:
Board Certification - Required
BLS Certification - Required
Kentucky Medical License - Preferred
