Job description
A group in central Massachusetts has an opportunity for a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient coverage.

5/1/2024
Target End Date
11/30/2024
About the Opportunity:
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
18-bed unit
90% Medical Cardiology, Stemi, Some Vasc, or Plastic Surg patients, VADS patients
Tube removal procedures are not required but are beneficial
Support Staff: 2 APPs every night, senior fellow inhouse, and attending available by phone
EMR: Epic
Board certification required

QUALIFICATIONS
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited PA or NP program
• One year of work experience as Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• One year of Epic experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
Requirements:
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
