Locum Tenens - Emergency Medicine Physician, Sioux City, Iowa, $270 - $320/hour
Job opening for Emergency Medicine Physician (Locum Tenens) in Sioux City, Iowa.
Responsibilities
Provide emergency medical care in a Level II Trauma Center.
Work within a high-performing emergency department, 30,000 annual visits.
Coordinate with hospital medicine and nursing staff, using Cerner EMR.
Compensation
$270 - $320 per hour.
Long‑term, indefinite assignment.
Start date: March 1, 2026.

24‑hour physician coverage
30 hours NP/PA coverage daily
Collegial collaboration with Hospital Medicine program
EMR: Cerner – in‑person training required before first shift
Credentialing Requirements
Active Iowa Medical License
Active DEA (with Iowa address)
Active CDS
Board Certified in ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM (or osteopathic equivalent)
Residency trained in specialty and certification required
ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required; if ABEM‑certified, must provide current ACLS and one‑time proof of ATLS
Qualifications
Residency trained in Emergency Medicine.
Board Certified in ABEM/ABFM/ABIM or osteopathic equivalent.
ACLS, ATLS, PALS certification.
