Job description
A correctional facility in Prairie du Chien, WI is seeking a Locum Tenens General Dentist to provide essential dental services. This is a full-time, Monday Friday role with no evenings, weekends, or on-call, offering a stable and predictable work schedule in a mission-driven environment.
Location: Correctional Facility Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin
Assignment Duration: September 22, 2025 March 21, 2026
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Facility Type: Secure State Correctional Institution
Responsibilities:
Deliver routine and urgent dental care: exams, cleanings, restorations, extractions, etc.
Diagnose and treat dental diseases and conditions.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety and clinical protocols within a correctional setting.
Collaborate with on-site healthcare staff for coordinated care.
Requirements:
Active, unrestricted Wisconsin Dental License
Current CPR certification
Proof of TDaP vaccination
Ability to pass background clearance for correctional facility access
Previous corrections or public health experience is appreciated but not required
