Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist Needed
Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Reason for Coverage: Gaps while we recruit
Dates of Coverage: October 2024 through summer 2025
Call Ratio: Every other week
Number of Physicians in Practice: 2
Will There Be Other Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage? Yes
How Many APPs Provide Coverage? 1
Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office): 25
Average Number of Patients Per Day - INPATIENT (Call/Rounding): Variable 1 per week
Patient Population for Required Coverage: Adult, Office/Clinic, Hospital Based
Documentation System/EMR: Meditech/Mosaiq
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days approx
Required Procedures:
Conventional Radiotherapy
3D Radiotherapy
3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT and SRS (No brachy needed)
External Beam Radiation - 3D-CRT
External Beam Radiation - IGRT
External Beam Radiation - IMRT
Stereotactic Radiosurgery
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy
Required Duties:
Orders Tests
Orders Images
Prescribes
Submission Requirements
Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required
Active MA License is required or pending (in process) - Required
Needs active DEA and Massachusetts controlled substance license - Required
Experience with following radiation techniques: 3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT and SRS (No brachy needed)
Experience with following software is preferred but not required: Pinnacle, Velocity, Mosaiq and Epic
Will be asked to see both inpatient and outpatient consults, do treatment planning, see weekly on-treatment visits and follow up patients
Will participate in weekly Tumor Boards
Looking for someone with excellent communication skills who works well with patients and staff
Looking for someone who documents accurately and promptly in the EMR
