Job description
Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide emergency department coverage in Fredericksburg, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced advanced practice provider to join a collaborative emergency medicine team.

Emergency Department
15,000+ annual ED visits
Approximately 41–43 patients/day
8-bed ED, expanding to 12 beds
Level IV Trauma Center
24-hour physician coverage
Established APP coverage
Meditech Expanse EMR
Broad mix of adult and pediatric emergency cases
Schedule
Flexible scheduling
Day and/or night shifts
Exact shift times to be confirmed
No call
Clinical Support
24/7 physician coverage
Work alongside physicians and other clinical staff
Established emergency medicine team
APP support within the ED
Requirements
NP or PA
Emergency Medicine experience preferred
Active Texas license
Current DEA
Current ACLS/PALS as applicable
Clean clinical file
Ability to obtain hospital privileges
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
100% of travel expenses reimbursed on top of rate
Travel reimbursement may include airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage, tolls, parking and/or rideshare
Facility
Community hospital with approximately 84 inpatient beds
ED expansion/renovation underway
Located in Fredericksburg, TX, in the Texas Hill Country
