Job description
We areseeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a busycommunity emergency department in Orlando, Florida. This is an excellentopportunity to practice in a modern, well-supported emergency department withaccess to comprehensive specialty services.
PositionHighlights
Level II Trauma Center
Comprehensive Stroke Center andSTEMI/Heart Center
11 private patient care beds
Dedicated trauma room
Dedicated pediatric treatmentroom
Approximately 30 patients per day
Patients requiring admission aretransferred to the main campus with seamless handoff to intensivists,hospitalists, and specialists
Collaborative emergency medicineteam
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treatpatients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent medicalconditions.
Stabilize and manage criticallyill and injured patients.
Perform emergency procedureswithin the scope of emergency medicine practice.
Manage trauma, medical, andpediatric emergencies.
Coordinate care with specialistsand inpatient teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.
Maintain accurate and timelydocumentation in the electronic medical record.
Deliver high-quality,evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligiblein Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) preferred
Board Certified in FamilyMedicine with a minimum of 4 years of Emergency Medicine experience and/orcompletion of an Emergency Medicine Fellowship will also be considered
Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALScertifications
Active Florida medical license orability to obtain
DEA registration required
